Privacy Policy

Account information: name, email, password (hashed), country, preferred currency and language, and role (client/freelancer/admin).

Profile & work data: avatar, cover image, bio, portfolio, services, skills, assessment results, reviews, orders, and messages.

Verification data: government-issued ID, selfie, and tax details submitted for KYC. These are stored encrypted and only accessed by authorized moderators.

Payment data: handled by our providers (Stripe, Paystack, Flutterwave). Frevn stores only the tokens, last four digits, and payout preferences — never full card numbers.

Usage data: device, browser, IP address, pages viewed, and interaction events for security, analytics, and product improvement.

• Operate the marketplace: matching, messaging, orders, escrow, and payouts.
• Verify identity, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Use.
• Provide AI features (moderation, skill assessments, matching) using anonymized inputs where possible.
• Send transactional emails, in-app notifications, and — with your consent — product updates.
• Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations across the regions we operate in.

We share personal data only when necessary:

• Other users — profile info, service details, and messages relevant to an order.
• Payment providers — Stripe, PayPal, Payoneer, Paystack, Flutterwave for processing payments and payouts.
• Infrastructure providers — hosting, storage, email delivery, and AI inference under strict data processing agreements.
• Identity & compliance providers — KYC verification, sanctions and PEP screening.
• Legal authorities — when required by valid legal process.

Frevn uses cookies and local storage for authentication, preferences (theme, currency, language), and analytics. You can clear cookies from your browser at any time; strictly necessary cookies are required for the app to function.

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Row-level security policies isolate user data on our database, and sensitive uploads (KYC, tax) are behind signed URLs with short expirations. Two-factor authentication (authenticator app, email OTP, biometrics) is available to every user.

• Access, correct, or export your data from Account & settings.
• Delete your account and associated personal data from Account & settings → Close account.
• Opt out of marketing emails from the notification preferences page.
• Request data portability or erasure by contacting our team.

Frevn operates worldwide and serves clients globally. Data may be processed in the country where our infrastructure providers operate. We retain account data while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards to meet legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations.

Frevn is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.
