Refund Policy
Every Frevn order is protected by escrow. This page explains when refunds are issued, how the money is returned, and the situations in which a refund cannot be granted.
Last updated: July 1, 2026
1. Refund eligibility
You may be eligible for a refund when:
- The freelancer does not deliver by the agreed due date and has stopped communicating.
- The delivery is materially different from the service or custom offer you accepted.
- Both parties mutually cancel the order.
- A Frevn moderator resolves a dispute in your favor.
2. When to request a refund
Request a refund from the order page within 14 days of delivery. Auto-completed orders past the 3-day review window can still be reviewed if you can show fraud or non-delivery.
3. How refunds are returned
Refunds go to your Frevn wallet in USD by default. From your wallet you can:
- Instantly reuse the balance to fund another order.
- Withdraw back to your original payment method (typically 3–10 business days for card refunds via Stripe, Paystack, or Flutterwave).
Frevn service fees are refunded with the order amount when a full refund is granted. Partial refunds are prorated.
4. Partial refunds
When part of the work is usable, moderators may issue a partial refund. The remaining balance is released to the freelancer, and the refunded portion is returned to your wallet.
5. Non-refundable situations
- Work already accepted or auto-completed beyond the review window without evidence of fraud.
- Change of mind after the freelancer has begun work in good faith.
- Requests that fall outside the scope defined in the service or custom offer.
- Orders where you paid the freelancer off-platform in violation of the Terms of Use.
6. Chargebacks
Please open a Frevn dispute before filing a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks can freeze your account pending investigation and are almost always slower than our in-app resolution.
7. How to request
Open the order and click Start a dispute or Request refund. For any other question, visit the Help Center or read our full Dispute Policy.
